Alberta Lung: Breathing Space

Redesigned multiple documents to simplify content in an effort to collectively partner with neighbouring Rotary clubs in Alberta, to help raise funds for ‘Breathing Space’.

Alberta Lung is building Breathing Space—a “Ronald McDonald House type” residence for lung transplant patients and their families to live, while in recovery. To relocate for 3-12 months can cost up to $80k. Some patients take themselves off the lung transplant list, and choose “death over breath” because they can’t afford to travel to the University of Alberta (Edmonton) for this life saving surgery.

Concept: white space is imperative…both visual and for clarity. Designed a new cover, restructured the narrative to fit Rotary’s goals of improving quality of life, environmental stewardship, community engagement and creating lasting impact. Sourced conceptual imagery, redesigned infographics to create unity x consistency, and presented options for Rotary clubs to invest and/or get involved.

The material has also been adapted to pitch to 100 Women Who Care Airdrie and connected ‘100 chapters’ across the province.
