Refugee Hiring Events
An initiative of #WelcomingEconomy that started in 2022.
Refugee Hiring Events are more than just a career fair. The unique event model connects refugees with coaches and employment opportunities each year in cities across Canada (Durham Region, Toronto, Moncton, Regina, and Manitoba).
Events are targeted to:
Job Seekers: forcibly displaced persons with qualifications required for job openings from participating employers.
Employers: invited companies with vacancies interview the pre-screened candidates to offer immediate job offers, second interviews or consideration for the company’s hiring process.
Agencies: supporting municipalities, community agencies in connecting talented refugees with job opportunities.
